I ended up booking in Swissotel Al Maqam Makkah as it is a newer property (opened more recently) and the access to haram was closer (or so i was told as i did not experience the other property myself). When booking i was slightly confused about the difference between Swissotel Makkah and Swissotel Al Maqam Makkah. Suite was overlooking kaaba from both the bedroom and living room. We stayed in the Junior Suite with Kaaba View which consisted of bedroom (with separate door), living room with TV and dining table, small kitchenette and toilet.
